Guidelines for Authors
The journal welcomes empirical papers across accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate governance, financial management, business management, banking and finance.
Authors are required to adhere to the guidelines below; submissions may be returned for non-compliance.
Submission requirements
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- The manuscript is prepared in Microsoft Word.
- Disclosure of competing interest. All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships that could bias their work, as a summary declaration on the last page and in a separate Declaration of Interest. If none, state: "Declarations of interest: none."
- Authorship changes (order, addition or deletion of names) should be made only before the manuscript is accepted.
- A4 portrait, 12-point Times New Roman, single line-spaced, all pages numbered at the bottom centre.
- Length: 10–16 pages or 3,000–6,000 words, title to appendices.
- The manuscript must be written in good academic English.
Structure of the manuscript
- Title — unique, simple and straightforward.
- Authors & affiliations — full names and affiliations at the time of the research; corresponding author's full postal address, telephone and email.
- Abstract — max 250 words, italics, single-spaced, no citations; states purpose, methodology, findings and value.
- Keywords — three to five specific keywords.
- Main article — Introduction; Literature Review; Methodology; Results & Discussion; Conclusion.
- References — APA 7 style; every in-text citation must appear in the reference list and vice-versa.
- All figures, tables and appendices numbered consecutively, with titles and no gridlines.
Processing & publication charges
The publication fee is ₦20,000.00 for authors in Nigeria and $50.00 for authors outside Nigeria. Payment is due upon acceptance of the manuscript.

Authors are entitled to one hard copy of the published issue; each extra copy attracts a ₦3,000.00 charge.
Important dates
- Submission windows: 1st April – 31st May, and 1st October – 30th November.
- Acknowledgement of receipt: within 3 days of submission.
- Notification of acceptance: 30 days from date of submission.
- Resubmission of corrected manuscript: 7 days from notification.
- Expected publication: 30th June and 30th December.
